Since March 2021, I have worked as a Senior Web Developer at Scratch Digital in Auckland while living in Hamilton.
About Me
I'm a senior web developer based in Hamilton, New Zealand. I began by teaching myself HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, then completed a Level 6 Diploma in Web Development and Design.
I started working professionally in 2014, first at ninetyblack in Taupō and then at Scratch Digital from March 2021. My work covers both front-end and back-end development, with PHP and MySQL remaining at the centre of it.
Outside my professional work, I build and document technical projects for Halo PC. That work includes Lua, server scripting, runtime memory research, and finding practical ways to extend systems that were never designed for modern modding.
ninetyblack — 2014 to 2021
I moved from Hamilton to Taupō in July 2014 to begin my professional career as a Web Developer at ninetyblack.
WorldSkills New Zealand — 2014
I won a gold medal at the two-day WorldSkills New Zealand national competition held at Wintec in Hamilton. The competition comprised four three-hour projects covering web design, programming, and interactivity.
Vision College
I completed a Level 6 Diploma in Web Development and Design, studying HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, C#, and design principles.
Self-taught beginnings
I began teaching myself web development before high school. I started with front-end development and moved into back-end programming as my projects became more ambitious.
